Location
- Wildwood Crest Beach stretches approximately 2 miles from Jefferson Avenue (south) to Cresse Avenue. (north)
- Surfing beaches are located on Crocus/Aster, Cardinal/Sweetbriar, Myrtle/Primrose, Rambler/Orchid
- Headquarters and First Aid is located at Rambler Road and Beach
Safety
- Lifeguard coverage 10:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day
- The beach is protected by 56 lifeguards, six supervising lieutenants, and two medical personnel
- During the busy season, beach patrol will have approximately 28 lifeguard chairs at the water’s edge
- Be aware of red “No Swimming” flags located throughout the beach
Wheelchairs
- Beach wheelchairs are available at the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol Headquarters
- Wheelchairs are free to rent
- Rentals begin at 10:00 a.m. and must be returned by 5:00 p.m.
- To rent a wheelchair, you will need a driver’s license/identification card that will be held at our medical station until your return
- You cannot rent chairs ahead of time. Rentals operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Wheelchairs must stay on Rambler Rd and cannot be delivered to another street
Handicap Transport
- Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol offers a free handicap transportation service when lifeguards are on duty Memorial Day through Labor Day
- The service runs everyday from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- Call the number below to schedule transportation services
- Transports are intended for handicapped/senior citizens who would not be able to attend the beach otherwise. They may be accompanied by a family member if needed.

- Animals
- Fires
- Surf Fishing
- Flotation Devices are permitted in posted areas only
- Ball playing, frisbees and kite flying are allowed in the designated recreational area located in the soft sand behind the umbrella line
